Ifoundthisonthestreet is me: Stuart Thomas McKirdy.
It is an umbrella term for all that I do.
I graduated from the prestigious Glasgow School of Art with a BA (Hons) Degree in Printed Textiles in 2008. I design and print my own fabrics for fashion and interiors. I construct one-off individual garments. I create large-scale digital prints for commission. I re-work vintage clothing and re-upholster second-hand furniture with my own printed fabric or found recycled fabric. I style and organise my own fashion shoots. I draw relentlessly.
I am currently working on a number of commissions and collaborations whilst maintaining my own new work.
